Meet Your Therapist: Kali Miller LPC, ATR

I’ve been drawn to creating art for as long as I can remember. It was always my outlet—a way to express myself, let my ideas flow, and make sense of the world around me. As a child, I was often described as “quiet” and “sensitive”—traits I’ve come to embrace as strengths. Those of us who observe deeply, listen intently, and empathize with others often have a unique ability to connect, support, and understand people on a deeper level.

My curiosity about human behavior began early. I was bullied when I was younger, and I often found myself wondering, *Why do people treat others the way they do?* That question led me to study the human mind, and I became fascinated by the ways our experiences shape how we think, feel, and act. It was through this journey that I discovered art therapy—a perfect intersection of my passion for creativity and my desire to help others heal and grow.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Avila University, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling and a Master of Science in Art Therapy from Emporia State University. I’ve been working in the field for over six years, and I continue to learn and grow every day, both as a therapist and as a human being.
